About The Artist

Mysia Marchesi

Mysia is a self-taught artist who has been painting since childhood. She believes the best art is not only pretty to look at but can inspire you, touch your heart, and speak to your soul.

She has been drawn to painting subjects that most connect with her personal journey. "The reason I paint things like the lotus flower, yoga, and angels is simple -- they have a deep and heartfelt meaning to me. I am grateful for the abundance of inspiration I get to paint them."

An interesting note that is present in all of her work is the use of words and symbols. Sometimes you will find a heart, a cross, a peace, or an om symbol in the painting. There are always seven words included in each painting -- hope, love, bliss, peace, balance, harmony, and joy. These words can be in plain view or impossible to find. They can be obvious or painted over with layers of paint. "I have always included words in my paintings. I feel compelled and inspired to do so. It is how I feel when I am creating. All these words and symbols have great energy to them. I marry them with the canvas and thus the painting has a fantastic and channeled energy to it. It is my way of blessing the painting and the space where it hangs."

Mysia's art hangs in private and corporate collections. She lives in northwestern New Jersey and is a wife and mother of two.
